Thank you so much April ! Not only for using your amazing talent to capture
such wonderful memories of our wedding day but also because, in addition
to that, you are quite simply a pleasure to be around. We surrounded ourselves
with a brilliant team of professionals on our special day and you were
undeniably the highlight - you laughed with us, had fun with us and even
had a little wiggle to the band whilst snapping away with your cameras
.... nothing was a drama or too much trouble and it definitely enhanced
the whole experience for a couple who are not usually so relaxed in front
of a lens.
You took the time in the lead up to our marriage to get to know us personally,
consequently gaining an understanding our photographic preferences and
it certainly shows in the results! Not only are the shots absolutely breathtaking
they have also portrayed us (and our story) in exactly the way we envisaged
which is a skill that not all photographers possess. Couples spend such
a lot of time with their photographer pre wedding, throughout the day
itself and for quite awhile after the event so it was really important
to us to find exactly the right person - you ticked all the boxes April
so, again, thank you from the bottom of our very contented hearts.

We found April very last minute, we’d decided we wanted
a photographer at our engagement party, one so we didn’t have to
worry about taking photos ourselves and two because we lived in Perth
and we wanted to trial and meet our potential wedding photographer, and
this would be our one and only opportunity before the wedding. Only a
few days before the engagement party I was lucky enough to organise April
to photograph my best friends increasingly large baby belly, she was my
bridesmaid so it was her duty to help me pick the photographer, the perfect
excuse!
I was so lucky that April was at the engagement party, as no one remembered
to bring a camera! April was there for roughly 2 hours and after a quick
briefing of what my expectations she went to work! She was almost invisible,
at one point I actually forgot she was there and was surprised when she
told me it was our turn for photos! It was great have a practice photo
shoot, as like most people I’d never been in front of the professional
lens! The whole day was fantastic, and the photos we received were better
than I could have ever imagined! And it was just the engagement party!!
Come wedding day, and after various emails and phone calls over the previous
9 months, I really felt comfortable with April, like she was a friend.
I’d been collecting various styles of photography and sending them
to April who was very excited about being given the license to get creative!
I was so rushed on the day, but April was seriously a very calming voice,
its great getting a pep talk from someone who has literally done this
before 100 of times! Her experience with the whole day was invaluable!
I trusted her so much!
I am still amazed to this day, and slightly obsessed with my photos as
I still don’t know how April did it! I hardly remember her being
there!
We’d chosen a private garden for our photos, and it definitely helped
in setting the theme and style. We knew April would just love this place
and prior to the big day we’d managed to go and take photos of the
location and then share them with April, just so she had a better feel
for the location. Her dedication on the day was spectacular! At one point
she was laying on the gravel just so she could get the right angle, it
was amazing!
All of my guests during the reception were asking me how I knew my photographer,
they all thought we were friends from years ago because they remembered
her from the engagement party and because she was just so dedicated. They
all came and told me how lovely she was and how relaxed and confident
she was. Everyone wanted to know where I found her. It was great looking
back through the photos of my guests, April just has this amazing ability
to get a genuine smile from everyone. Everyone just looks so happy and
comfortable...even my husband who hates getting his photo taken! He’s
still so proud of himself for looking so handsome in all of the photos!
I would recommend April to anyone getting married, having a baby or getting
engaged and you will seriously be disappointed if you don’t have
her. Our thought for the wedding was scrimp where we can, but invest in
the photos, and what a wise investment we made. We have some amazing photos
that we call our ‘Wedding Art’...we’re looking forward
to getting huge canvas’s for our walls!
We’re looking forward to having April capture all of our milestones
in our life!
